1. You are lifeguarding at Schlitterbahn for the summer. A man that was tubing the lazy river has become unresponsive, is not breathing, and needs CPR. You begin compressions and a coworker has called 911 and has brought the AED. The man's chest is very wet and hairy. You should
A) put the 911 dispatcher on speaker phone and see what advice he gives.
B) continue with compressions and breathing because the AED pads won’t stick.
C) make sure the man is laying in a dry area, grab a towel and quickly dry the man’s chest, use the razor from the AED case to shave the hair from the spots needed on his chest, put the AED pads on, and begin following the AED instructions.
