6. Below in question 6a, you can see an example of how a t-chart was used to solve the question. Using this example and the conversion factors that you came up with in question 5, solve the 6b-6c using a t-chart.
a. How many moles of s'mores could you make if you used 12 moles of chocolate?
b. How many moles of graham crackers would you need if you wanted to make 7 moles s'mores?
c. How many moles of graham crackers would you need if you had 18 moles of chocolate? Make your own t-chart.

Answer

  1. a. You can make 4 moles of s'mores if you use 12 moles of chocolate. This is shown in the example t-chart where 12 moles of chocolate is converted to 4 moles of s'mores using the conversion factor of 1 mole of s'mores per 3 moles of chocolate.

  2. b. To find the moles of graham crackers needed for 7 moles of s'mores, use the conversion factor from question 5 (not provided here). Assuming the conversion factor is 1 mole of s'mores requires 2 moles of graham crackers, you would need 14 moles of graham crackers.

  3. c. To find the moles of graham crackers needed for 18 moles of chocolate, use the conversion factor from question 5 (not provided here). Assuming the conversion factor is 1 mole of s'mores requires 2 moles of graham crackers and 3 moles of chocolate, you would need 12 moles of graham crackers (since 18 moles of chocolate would make 6 moles of s'mores).
