How is cytokinesis different in plant and animal cells? Respond here.

Answer

Cytokinesis is different in animal cells than plant cells. In animal cells, the cell membrane squeezes around the middle of the cell, allowing the cytoplasm to divide into two cells. In plant cells, the cell wall is too rigid for this process. Instead, a cell plate forms across the middle of the cell, which will develop into cell membranes between the two new cells. The cell wall then forms where the cell membrane is.
